Mr. D.M.D. Krishan Thilakaratne

Mr. Thilakeratne joined LOLC Microfinance Bank, Pakistan as the Chairman in 2024. He is currently serving as the Director / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LOLC Finance PLC., which is the largest non-bank financial entity in Sri Lanka. Mr. Thilakeratne started his career as a Marketing Executive at Seylan Bank PLC., in 1990 and has been in the banking sector for over two and a half decades. Mr. Thilakaratne held many senior positions at LOLC such as CEO LOLC Factors, CEO Auto Finance Business Unit, CEO Commercial Leasing and Finance PLC., Group Head of Islamic Finance, etc. In addition to above positions Mr. Thilakaratne also holds key positions in LOLC Group entities such as Seylan Bank PLC., LOLC Myanmar Microfinance Ltd., Commercial Insurance Brokers Ltd., Fazo S Mcrofinance Deposit Organization - Tajikistan, OSJC Microfinance Company 'ABN' - Kyrgyzstan, etc. He is a member of the Charted Institute of Management Accountants – UK, Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka, Former president – Finance House Association of Sri Lanka. He has followed a Strategic Leadership training program in Microfinance, offered by Harvard Business School USA.
