Mr. Chandana Jayanath

Mr. Chandana Jayanath is serving as the Chief Recovery Officer for LOLC Group. Mr. Jayanath joined LOLC Group in 2004 and has over 20 years of experience within the group. Prior to joining LOLC Group, Mr. Jayanath worked at Vanik Incorporation Limited. In addition to his current role, Mr. Jayanath holds a senior position in LOLC Factors Ltd., a subsidiary of LOLC Group. Mr. Jayanath holds a doctorate in Philosophy from IIC University, Cambodia and MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. He holds memberships in Sri Lanka Institute of Credit Management, Institute of Credit Management – Australia, Charted Professional Managers – Sri Lanka and Charted Institute of Credit Management – United Kingdom. Mr. Jayanath instrumented in introducing a new recovery and collection strategy in LOLC which is used by many overseas countries within the Group such as Cambodia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, etc. Mr. Jayanath joined the board of LOLC Microfinance Bank, Pakistan in 2024 as a non-executive director.
