Mr. Farooq Rashid

Mr. Farooq Rashid brings over 25 years of rich experience working in Microfinance Industry as well as Commercial Bank. Prior to joining Pak Oman Microfinance Bank, he was one of the key member of senior leadership of NRSP Bank where he was instrumental for integration and execution of several business and operational strategic plans. He has also worked at Mobilink Microfinance Bank and Askari Bank Limited at various senior positions. His core strengths includes but not limited to branchless, consumer and corporate banking. Mr. Farooq Rashid holds an MBA degree from Brenau University, USA and BBA degree from Kennesaw State University, USA.

Mr. Ilsam

With years of distinguished service in the banking industry, Mr. Ilsam, embodies expertise, knowledge and skill in marketing, Islamic banking, finance and insurance. His career is a testament to his unwavering dedication and unparalleled expertise in his field, cementing his reputation as a leading figure in the banking industry. His solid educational background includes a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, a Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance from the Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance in the UK and an MBA with a specialisation in Finance from Manipal University, India.

Mr. Ilsam’s illustrious journey with LOLC began in 2008 when he joined as a Junior Executive. His in-depth acumen and extensive experience culminated in his appointment as Head of Islamic Banking at Commercial Leasing and Finance, a subsidiary of LOLC Holdings, in 2015. Following a strategic merger in 2022, he ascended to the role of Chief Manager of the Islamic Division at LOLC Holding, where his contributions continue to drive the growth and success of the business.

A proactive and committed professional, Mr. Ilsam, is a Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, Assistant Secretary of the Association of Alternate Financial Institution (AAFI) in Sri Lanka and an Associated Fellow of the Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance and Insurance – UK.

Mr. Nizar Noor

Mr. Nizar brings with him around 23 years of experience in field of Retail Sales, Branchless Banking, Channel Development, Customer Services, Back-end Operations, Digitization, and Support. Prior to joining LOLC Microfinance Bank he was associated with U Microfinance Bank Ltd. He has also worked with the organization of repute like Ufone PTML, Dialog CDMA, Paktel Ltd and InstaPhone Ltd.
Mr. Nizar holds degree in Commerce and attended professional training in Business Excellence, Channel Management and Customer Handling.

Mr. Gration Joseph

Mr. Gration has around 19 years of international experience in the field of finance. Prior to joining LOLC Microfinance Bank, he was associated with LOLC Holdings PLC. Mr. Gration holds an MBA degree in International business from the University of Colombo and an MSc in Project Management from Asia University Malaysia. He is also a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants [CIMA] United Kingdom.

Ms Nadia Zubair Shah

Experienced Corporate and Commercial legal professional with a demonstrated history of working in the legal services industry for more than a decade. Skilled in Negotiation, Corporate Governance, Intellectual Property, Policy Analysis and Legislative drafting. Strong, disciplined legal professional with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) focused in Corporate Governance, Insurance, Law of Obligations (Contracts); and International Sales from Cardiff University. Diverse experience of advising public entities and private sector enterprises on due diligence matters, investments, intellectual property, corporate compliances and contract drafting. Steered as Head of Legal, Compliance and Corporate Affairs in Investment Finance Companies (Fintech) and a renowned oil and gas conglomerate. She is a co-author of an Intellectual Property Legislation and has been a Consultant for national and international organisations.

Mr. Sultan Muhammad

Mr. Sultan Muhammad brings with him 20 years of diversified experience in Microfinancing as well as Commercial Banking. Prior to joining POMBL in April 2022, Mr. Sultan was associated with U Microfinance Bank Ltd, he has also worked with organizations of repute like Mobilink Microfinance Bank, Bank Al Habib Ltd, and International Marketing & Trading Company Pvt Ltd and Population Council (International NGO). He holds Masters of Business Administration and M.Sc in Economics.

Mr. Faraz Basheer

Mr. Faraz is the Head of the IT department since May 2020. He has a rich experience in the IT sector and possesses expertise in Infrastructure development and project management in Srilanka. Prior to elevation to the position of Head of IT, his services were obtained on secondment from LOLC Holdings PLC, Srilanka. He led the setup and implementation of core banking system as well as IT’s infrastructure. His total career span is now over 15 years. Previously he worked in various reputable organizations in Srilanka. Mr. Faraz Basheer holds MSc in Technology Management Program from staffordshire University, UK.

Mr. M. Umair Sabir

Mr. M. Umair Sabir is a seasoned HR professional with over 13 years of progressive experience in the Banking and Financial sector. He possesses in-depth expertise and understanding of complex HR matters: HR Policies & Procedure, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Engagement, and Employer Branding, Rewards & Retention. Prior to joining POMBL, Mr. Umair Sabir was associated with ORIX Leasing Pakistan Limited. Mr. Umair Sabir holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources & Development Strategies.

Muhammad Abid

Having worked in the banking industry for over eighteen years, Muhammad Abid has a proven track record of experience, knowledge and skills in Sales and Marketing, Credit and Risk management, product development, Retail banking, policy compliance and channel development.
Prior to joining LOLC Microfinance Bank, he worked in Khushhali on Multiple positions pertain to Sales, Marketing, Retail Banking and Credit. He also worked as a Branch Manager at First Microfinance Bank and U Microfinance Bank, followed by a position as an Area Manager.
Furthermore, he joined Pak Oman Microfinance Bank (Currently LOLC Microfinance Bank Ltd) as Regional Business Head and was later promoted to the role of Head of Channels.
Since May, 2024 he has been elevated to position of ‘Head of Risk Management’ at LOLC Microfinance Bank, along with additional Charge as an ‘Acting Head of Compliance’ due to his wealth of experience and expertise.
Muhammad Abid, holds a Masters Degree in Statistics from the University of Punjab – Lahore and L.L.B (Banking Law & Taxation Law) from Baha Uddin Zakriya University – Multan.
